i’ve posted a similar outfit to this on the blog before, but you can’t go wrong with black jeans and a kimono right. i love the longer length of this kimono and always get complemented when i wear it, which i did when i wore it on thursday evening to my local open mic night (no i didn’t sing, just drank). i got told i looked very retro (?) i’m not sure thats how i would describe this look but we’ll roll with that. a fedora hat is almost necessary when you wearing pointed boots and a kimono and the sliver and turquoise jewellery compliments the look perfectly, doncha think. i’ve been wearing my jord watch constantly since receiving it, its just so beautiful.

i’m currently on a week off work, which feels most excellent after a busy few weeks at work, although it continues to be busy so going back on monday morning is going to be very hard. i haven’t done a great deal with my time off but its nice to have nothing planned. the hubs and i are off to paignton, devon, on friday afternoon for the weekend, which i’m very excited about as I used to live there and haven’t been back for a couple of years. i fully expect to embrace the sea side vibe with fish and chips, cream teas and perhaps a game of crazy golf. i did meet my mum yesterday who very kindly brought these tan mules for me in m&co, they were £12 in the sale so I was excited to wear them straight away that evening for dinner with the in-laws. i’ve wanted an oversized white shirt for ages and found this perfect one for £7 in the h&m sale recently and it looks amaze with my gorgeous boho turquoise necklace from happiness boutique. i can see this necklace becoming a regular feature on lazy to lovely. it goes with so many outfits and fits in with my sassy 70s, boho vibes i’m so loving at the moment. i didn’t realise when happiness boutique asked me to collaborate with them that they did clothes as well as jewellery and accessories. they have an amazing collection of boho, gypsy summer tops on their site, this one being a fav of mine. i did feel a slight affinity with mia wallace from pulp fiction in this outfit but i think everyone should have a staple white shirt in their wardrobe. hope  you like it.

bit of a miss mash of backgrounds in this post, i couldn’t decide where to pose for these pictures. it was one of those lovely hazy summer evenings but still a touch too bright for great pictures so these are the best of a bad bunch. i’m going for a casual yet dressed up (hello heels) look in this outfit post. its a look i wish I could pull off more often but i instantly feel too dressed up in heels most of the time and revert back to flats. i’m a big music fan so when vanilla underground got in touch for a collab with me i was super duper excited to choose a piece. it was a hard decision between the bowie jumper and this one but possibly my fav band ever, pink floyd won in the end. i feel pretty darn cool in this whole look and guess what if you want to look cool in you band tee too then head over to vanilla underground and pop in the following code  LOVELY25  to get 15% off an order valid until 21st July.

firstly i’m not sure whats happened to these pictures. i don’t know if its the lighting, something wrong with the camera or just bad photo taking (sorry husband). this is the second lot of photos in this particular outfit because the photos just weren’t working (whats with the weird light patch on my mid section?). annoying because i really wanted some great images with these gorgeous shoes and I’ve been so happy with my pictures lately. . . hopefully its just a one off and normal photo quality will resume asap. anyway the shoe shots aren’t too bad so just look at them and marvel at the gorgeous lace up detailing (and ignore how i’ve already scuffed them). the lace up trend is big business this season and i liked these ones in particular because i’m having a love affair with pointed shoes atm. these shoes are a little higher them my usual but actually not as hard to walk in as i originally thought (although still a meal out pair of shoes rather than a dancing all night pair).i love this cute 70s style shirt from primark, its a shame the pictures don’t do it any justice. the moroccan print is so big this summer and this shirt looks great tucked into jeans or i can just imagine it with a buttoned down a-line skirt too. just so you know you may see this necklace a lot lately. I can’t get enough of it, i love that minimal jewellery look and this one looks great chucked over most tops, shirts or jumpers. i hope you like this outfit despite the strange images, i’ll style the shoes up in another outfit again so you can see them in better images soon.
